Description
The Courtesy Clerk supports store operations by assisting customers with bagging groceries, returning carts, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store. They provide friendly customer service, help carry out groceries when needed, and ensure that the store environment remains safe and organized. This role also includes collecting shopping carts from parking areas, stocking paper bags, and assisting in light clean-up tasks. Courtesy Clerks are often the first and last point of contact for customers, making them essential to a positive shopping experience.
General requirements
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Stand/walk for extended periods; bend, reach, and lift up to 40–50 lbs. (with or without accommodation).
- Tolerate variable temperatures in coolers/freezers and brief outdoor tasks (cart retrieval, carry-outs).
- Dress code: Black, gray, khaki, navy blue solid slacks. Black slip resistant shoes. Black, white or navy polo shirt.
- Grooming code: Neat and clean: Nails, hair, breath, clothing.
Compensation
$12.75/hr
