Description
This is a 12-month Culinary Arts internship that provides real-world experience through structured rotations in key kitchen departments. Interns gain skills in prep, hot line, banquets, pastry, and kitchen operations under the supervision of professional chefs.
General requirements
Candidates must meet at least one of the following: currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Hospitality/Culinary program; have 12+ months of related work experience; or have 5+ years of full-time experience in the culinary field. Strong work ethic, teamwork, and English communication required.
Compensation
$18/hour; no gratuities. Overtime available at 1.5x pay after 40 hours/week.

Additional information
This internship is part of a structured J-1 cultural exchange program. Participants will rotate across various culinary departments to develop technical and soft skills including sanitation, prep work, hot line execution, banquet service, pastry production, and kitchen administration. Participants will be guided by professional mentors and provided with ongoing feedback and supervision. Training plans will be discussed further during the selection process.
