In 1903, homesteaders Fred and Ida Stearns claimed the untamed territory that is now Sorrel River Ranch. Their original two-room farmhouse still stands by the resort’s organic herb garden. In 1947, the farm was sold to Bill and Lillian Boulden who continued the family farm tradition as Boulden Cattle Ranch. In 1994, former bass guitarist for Rick Springfield, Robbie Levin, purchased the ranch from the Bouldens and developed the property that officially opened as Sorrel River Ranch Resort and Spa in 1999. The current owner Corrado Properties LLC. purchased the property in 2008.
