Sofra Bakery & Cafe - Cambridge takes its name from a Turkish word synonymous with generosity and hospitality. James Beard-nominated Executive Pastry Chef Maura Kilpatrick and co-founder Ana Sortun (of Oleana, Sarma and Siena Farms) approach cuisine with a Middle Eastern sensibility, creating delicious food with unique spices and spice blends. The cafe reinterprets regional food traditions of the Eastern Mediterranean to make them accessible and inspiring for its guests.

The team cares about each other and its customers. Sofra builds long-term relationships with its employees and supports those who wish to further their careers in the food industry, with extensive educational and professional development opportunities including wine and beverage training, Mediterranean diet education, community engagement and guest speakers.
