Owamni by The Sioux Chef describes itself as the nation's first Indigenous restaurant. Located at 420 1st St S in Minneapolis, it prioritizes purchasing from Indigenous food producers locally and nationally, and has removed colonial ingredients such as wheat flour, cane sugar and dairy, presenting a decolonized dining experience.

Owamni received the James Beard Foundation award for Best New Restaurant in 2022.
