Dhamaka is an "Unapologetic Indian" restaurant serving provincial Indian cuisine at the Essex Market, from Chef and Partner Chintan Pandya and restaurateur Roni Mazumdar of the critically acclaimed SEMMA and Adda Indian Canteen. It is part of Unapologetic Foods and has a team of 26-50 employees.
Dhamaka was chosen as one of the top 50 restaurants in America by The New York Times and was named Best in America by Esquire in 2021. Chintan Pandya received the James Beard Foundation award for Best Chef: New York State in 2022.
